Title Reveal!

I have news about my standalone contemporary fantasy romance! I’m a 1/3 of the way through the 2nd draft and IT HAS A TITLE! This is always a big deal for me, because I absolutely hate naming things. Dunno why, but I do. Ready???

Definitely Not Lightning Bugs

When Brigid inherits a space for her bookstore from an uncle she’s never met, she thinks herself incredibly lucky. That is, until she discovers she’s sharing that space with a hive of fireflies. She keeps insisting that fireflies don’t build hives, but everyone in town keeps answering, “They’re not that kind of firefly.”

As it turns out, Arbor Grove is a very special place with very special creatures. Brigid might decide the small midwestern town is truly magical—if she can keep the wildlife from incinerating her dreams. Luckily, the town has a handsome fireman who’s willing to help. But who is this mysterious “Henry” everyone keeps talking about? And why is he so interested in keeping Brigid around?

I’m hoping to wrap this one up this spring and then get back to Ki’ani’s series. This was supposed to be a short break, but I’m not great at fast or short. I suspect the world of Arbor Grove will end up taking turns with Ki’ani’s Vāni in my schedule. The fantasy series will be a collection of standalone novels, whereas Ki’ani’s story is best read in sequence. (This from the person who started both Artemis Fowl’s and Percy Jackson’s series on the second installments. I blame that on the library… and my own impatience. I start with what’s available!)

Stay tuned! More stories are on their way.
